Ponnazhakan Subramanian killing Case
Details from an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by WFAA on Wednesday shed light on what the police learned when they responded to the Subramanian home on January 6th.
Officers responded to a residence located in the 700 block of Anson Court in McKinney after a distressed woman called 911. She reported that her son was unconscious and bleeding, and she was unable to enter the home as her husband had locked her out.
Upon arrival, the police spoke with the woman who informed them that her son was in the garage. As the officers entered the house, they noticed signs of blood inside and heard a man shouting from the master bedroom at the rear of the house, as mentioned in the arrest warrant affidavit.
The man, later identified as Ponnazhakan Subramanian , had multiple cuts on his body and was holding a large butcher-style knife when the officers encountered him, according to the same affidavit.
According to the affidavit, after locating the distressed woman’s son, the officers found him deceased on the garage floor with multiple cuts and lacerations.
During their investigation, the police interviewed the boy’s mother, who revealed that her husband, Subramanian Ponnazhakan, had been experiencing feelings of depression lately, but the exact cause was unknown.
The woman disclosed that on the day of their son’s killing, Ponnazhakan had repeatedly expressed the belief that all three of them should die.
She also informed the police that she suggested he should seek help from a psychiatrist, but he was not receptive to the idea and expressed dissatisfaction.
Later that day, as per the affidavit, Ponnazhakan Subramanian went to pick up his son from school while his wife remained at home and slept.
